While the world watched the World Cup, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) was helping law enforcement find missing children at risk of being trafficked for s*x.

By the end of the operation, 64 missing children were safely recovered.

Thank you NCMEC for the very important work you do!

Great tips from our friends at

đźš© A few simple habits can help protect you from unsafe situations.
Whether online or in person, it's important to stay aware and trust your instincts.

✔️ Be cautious of people who seem "too good to be true."
✔️ Avoid sharing personal information with people you don't know well.
✔️ Let a trusted friend or family member know where you're going when meeting someone new.
✔️ Be careful about accepting gifts, money, or opportunities that come with pressure or expectations.
✔️ If something feels off, don't ignore that feeling.

Traffickers often look for opportunities to exploit trust, vulnerability, or isolation. Staying connected to trusted people and making informed decisions can help reduce risk.

The goal isn't to live in fear—it's to stay informed and empowered.

What's a safety tip you think every young adult should know?

đź’™ Together, we make a difference.

đź’™ Thank You for Making Our First Bingo Benefit a Success! đź’™

What an incredible evening! We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for our very first Numbers 4 Hope Bingo Benefit.

Because of your generosity, we raised over $2,000 to support Shield North Carolina’s mission of defending our communities against human trafficking through education, awareness, prevention, advocacy, and survivor support.

A huge thank you to all of the local businesses and individuals who generously donated prizes, to our amazing volunteers who made the evening run so smoothly, and to every person who purchased a bingo card, cheered each other on, and helped make the night so much fun.

This was just the beginning! We can’t wait to bring another Bingo Benefit to the community later this year. We’ll be sharing details about our next event soon, so stay tuned!

Together, we are creating hope, raising awareness, and making a difference—one game at a time. 💙

CLOSER THAN YOU THINK:
UNMASKING FAMILIAL TRAFFICKING AND
CLOSING THE GAPS THAT KEEP IT HIDDEN

Join us for an important conversation on familial trafficking and child exploitation, one of the most overlooked forms of trafficking.

In this webinar, Hillary Evans, Director of Social Impact at 3Strands Global Foundation, will challenge common myths, examine why familial trafficking is so often missed, and explore the gaps that prevent identification across child-serving systems.

Hillary will also introduce PROTECT, 3Strands Global Foundation's evidence-based K-12 prevention education program, and discuss how a coordinated, wraparound approach can help trusted adults identify exploitation, prevent future harm, and better support children and families.

This webinar is ideal for law enforcement, child welfare professionals, educators, healthcare providers, nonprofit staff, and anyone committed to strengthening prevention and response efforts for children and families.

About the Presenter:
Hillary Evans is the Director of Social Impact at 3Strands Global Foundation, a lived experience expert, advocate, and educator with more than a decade of experience in human trafficking prevention.

She is passionate about equipping communities with trauma-informed, person-centered education that helps people recognize exploitation beyond common misconceptions.

Through her professional expertise and lived experience, Hillary partners with schools, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations to strengthen prevention efforts and improve outcomes for those impacted by trafficking.
