Team PyroTech is a FIRST Robotics Competition team that consists of public, private and homeschooled students.

Team PyroTech was formed as a community-based robotics team for the purpose of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education of high school students.

🔥 PyroTech at NC FIRST Advocacy Day! 🏛️

Big day for Team PyroTech! We pulled up to the NC Legislature for FIRST Advocacy Day! Our mission? Talk to lawmakers about securing funding for FIRST programs so more students across NC can dive into hands-on STEM, build career-ready skills, and level up through FRC.

Big thanks to Reps. Ball, G. Brown, Cervania, Crawford, Dahle, Jeffers, Johnson-Hostler, A. Jones, Liu, von Haefen & Senators Adcock, Batch, Murdock for hearing us out!

We had a blast at the state championships this year!! We seeded 16th at the end of the qualification matches and with and 🔥🔥 and to top it all off, we won the Innovation in control award, an award we've been working towards all season! We're super proud of our journey this season and we are ready to bring the heat to the next one!

Team PyroTech has qualified for the 2024 FRC NC State Championship, and we need your support to be able to compete!

During our past 2 competitions, we were excited to earn the Quality Award and the Industrial Design Award, sponsored by General Motors. These awards recognize our team’s extraordinary efforts and hard work during the season so far in designing, fabricating, and competing with a $16,000 robot. Through these awards and our robot, we are now qualified to compete at the state qualifiers!

We need to raise $4,000 to be able to attend the competition, and $6000 for the additional expenses we pay for as a team. Any amount is appreciated and will make a difference.Your donation will help cover registration, robot parts, supplies, travel, and other expenses. Link to donate is also in the bio!

PyroTech and FLL 19927 Artistic Ants visited the awesome students from Governor Morehead, a school for the blind. Everyone we met was super enthusiastic about our robots, the team, 3d printed parts, circutry, and even the amazing carrot piano! We had such a fun time getting to know everyone and are looking forward to meeting everyone once again!

Our District Competition at Pembroke was great! Despite unexpected issues with the robot, we perservered through! We even competed in an alliance with and !! Our efforts weren't just to our own team though, we helped several rookie teams at competition, from building a cart, making bumpers, and even assisting with code! We even got to see FRC Beach Bots's new cart that they built, inspired by a cart we built for them last year! And to round it all up, we won the qualiry award!

We once again to Turner Creek Elementary for their STEM night, and this time we brought along our friends from FLL Artsy Ants! We had a blast making buttons, driving ember, and showcasing our new 2024 robot!
