While the ordinary business of the Fire Department is funded by Wake County taxpayers, your tax-

Funds are also used for community fire prevention education programs such as the annual Fire Prevention Open House as well as various other events and activities. Please help Fairview to be prepared to go above and beyond in the community when a need arises beyond their normal call of duty.

Members of the Fairview Fire Department were honored to stand by during the funeral service of one of our Friends of Fairview board members, Davin “Dave” Olsen. Dave was a board member for the Friends of the Fairview (a non-profit organization supporting the Fairview Rural Fire Department) and a big supporter of all first responder organizations. His loss will be felt throughout Wake County.

The Fairview Rural Fire Department participated in the Statewide Smoke Alarm initiative yesterday sponsored by the North Carolina Office of the State Fire Marshal and The Home Depot. We were able to inspect 39 homes and installed 31 detectors in District 2. Thank you to the citizens of our community for allowing us to work towards our fire prevention goals.
