It’s that time of year!! 🏎️🔥🏁🛞

This past weekend, our Arrow of Light Scouts from Pack 205 in Apex, NC, had an unforgettable overnight camping adventure at the Youth Tent campsite in Umstead State Park! 🐾 Nine brave fifth graders bundled up for the cold and dove into the *Outdoor Adventurer* requirements with energy and teamwork. 💪✨

🍴 Friday night, they cooked up a delicious dinner of hot dogs and mac and cheese and learned the importance of cleaning up by washing their own dishes. The evening ended with a campfire, s’mores, and skits that had everyone laughing around the fire. 🔥🤩

🌞 Saturday morning started with a frosty 28-degree wake-up call, but that didn’t stop our Scouts! They cooked a hearty breakfast of blueberry pancakes and sausage, packed picnic lunches into their backpacks, and set off on a hike to Sycamore Lake. Along the way, they explored the forest, practiced outdoor skills, and enjoyed a game of football before a lakeside picnic. 🏞️🏈🥪

🏕️ After hiking back to camp, the Scouts worked as a team to break down their tents, pack up their gear, and play games while waiting for pick-up. By the end of the trip, they were tired but proud of their accomplishments. 💯👏

🌟 These Scouts truly lived up to the Cub Scout Motto, “Do Your Best,” while preparing to cross over to Scouts BSA, where they’ll embody the Boy Scout Motto, “Be Prepared.” From teamwork to outdoor skills, this weekend was full of growth, adventure, and plenty of fun!

Way to go, Arrow of Light Den! 🎉💚 We can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next!

🎃 Spookoree 2024: Halloween Fun and Adventure for Pack 205! 🎃

This past weekend, Pack 205 headed out to Camp Durant for our annual Spookoree campout, and it was unforgettable! With perfect fall weather, starlit nights, and beautiful North Carolina scenery, our Scouts dove into a weekend of outdoor fun and Halloween spirit. 🏕

From pumpkin carving and fishing to mastering archery and whittling, our Scouts took on every adventure with excitement! We even had Halloween-themed activities like Tent-or-Treating and a Spooky Trail designed by our awesome Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts. 👻🎯🎣

We wrapped up the nights around the campfire, with s’mores, songs, and stargazing under the autumn sky. A huge thank you to our leaders, parents, and Scouts for making Spookoree 2024 a weekend to remember. 🏕✨

Here’s to more scouting adventures and memories with Pack 205! 🌲💫
