Yeehaw! We’re thrilled to announce that the theme for our 13th annual Apalachicola Mardi Gras Parade is
“Git Along Li’l Doggies”
so dust off your boots, grab your cowboy hat and bring your canine companions for a day of fun and excitement.

Saddle up and join us on Saturday, February 24, 2024! This is going to be one fun-filled day that y’all won’t want to miss.

The parade isn’t just for fun. It’s also for a good cause. We’re partnering with local animal rescues to raise awareness and funds for animals in need. Not only will you have a great time, you’ll also be making a difference for injured animals and those looking for their forever homes.

The ladies at the Pet Stop really love dogs (and cats and even bunnies). It’s the perfect place to take your pups for a spa day, for daycare, or for boarding when you have to be away. They’re excellent groomers and every dog…the big ones, the little ones, the old ones, and the fat ones will be handled gently and with love. They support our local humane society and our Mardi Gras parade as generous sponsors. Thank you, Deborah and Dawn.

Update: Hound Dog has been found!

This is Hound Dog. He belongs to Sue and Jen that work at the OCBC brewery in Apalach. They dropped him off at the The Pet Stop on Franklin St. in Eastpoint this morning. He jumped the fence about an hour and a half ago and is AWOL.

He's old but good and worth looking for. If anyone sees him please call Grayson Shepard at 850-653-6718 or FCSO dispatch at 850-670-8500
