Camp George Thomas Camp George Thomas in southwest Oklahoma provides a fun and beautiful camp setting for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, and adult Scouters.

Camp George Thomas is located at the foot of the Wichita Mountains in Caddo County off State Highway 19.

Get ready for a shooting sports weekend filled with friendly competition, teamwork, and fun!

📅 February 19–21, 2027
📍 Diamond H Scout Ranch
⏰ Friday at 5 PM–Sunday at noon CT

Gather 4–8 youth from your patrol, troop, crew, ship, or contingent and compete for team and individual champion honors in each discipline! Don’t have a full team? We’ll help match you with one.

Not a great shot? That’s okay! Come have fun, build your skills, and learn along the way. 🎯

💲 Cost:
Scouts BSA Youth: $30
Youth & Adult Staff: $20
Non-Participating Adults: $5
Scouts BSA Youth pricing increases to $40 on February 4, 2027, at 12:00 AM CT.

Calling all former Camp George Thomas campers and staff — especially anyone who was at CGT around 2005–2006!
We received a fun question from a former Cub Scout who is trying to remember an old CGT camp legend.
They remember the staff telling stories about a camp “monster” or creature that may have eaten bananas, and they think the name might have had “blue” in it.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Do you remember the name of the creature or any of the stories about it?

A burn ban is currently in effect at all Last Frontier Council properties until further notice.
Please plan accordingly and help us keep our camps, Scouts, volunteers, and communities safe. No open flames or burning are permitted while the ban is in effect.
