Saving Paws Team, here’s a heartwarming update on Noel! 💛

She had a procedure at the emergency vet to have her wound cleaned and closed and is now resting safely in a foster home for recovery, medications and working on getting her weight up.

This miraculous girl kept herself alive while caring for her five kittens, despite being malnourished and injured, until help arrived. We’re absolutely in awe of her. She is currently enjoying an endless full belly and all the cuddles she’s been missing out on, taking some well-deserved time to heal. 🐾

Thanks to your support, this sweet momma is on the road to recovery!

Team, let’s rally together for Noel! 💛

This sweet momma kitty was abandoned at a gas station with her five kittens and came to the shelter severely malnourished, with a large open wound on her abdomen, and having given every ounce of herself to care for her babies. She’s currently receiving emergency medical treatment as our team works to save her and help her heal. 🐾

Every bit of support counts, let’s give Noel the second chance she so desperately deserves!

A Saving Paws success story🫶🏼

Titan came to the shelter for a quarantine, after previously being abandoned and kept outside in a chicken coop. Just a few days after arriving, he began showing signs of illness, which was later confirmed as parvovirus, a serious and often deadly disease, especially for young, unvaccinated dogs like Titan.

He needed immediate, extensive medical care to survive. Titan was checked in to medical facilities where he spent over a week hospitalized full-time. After a long, challenging battle (and a lot of chicken nuggets), he pulled through!

While still contagious, Titan was transferred to the Arizona Humane Society for continued care and rehabilitation in their Parvo unit. The cost of his treatment was significant, but thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Titan received everything he needed to survive and recover.💛🐾

This Giving Tuesday, we want to take a moment to thank the incredibly generous people who support Saving Paws. 🧡🐾

Your contributions make it possible for the shelter animals at Apache Junction Animal Control to get the medical care they need. Without an on-site medical team, the shelter relies on outside services, which can add up quickly when caring for so many pets in need.

Because of your support, countless lives have been saved and so many animals have received second chances. Here are just a few of the animals who have benefited from the Rehabilitation Fund in the past. We truly could not do this without you, thank you for making such a meaningful difference! 💛

💜 Help Raven Get Wheels💜

Sweet Raven has wobblers disease, which makes it hard for her back end to support her. Despite her challenges, she never gives up. Her legs are covered in scars from her determined effort to move around and the shelter environment has been especially tough on her body. What she needs most is a little extra help: a doggy wheelchair.🏎️

A set of wheels would give Raven the freedom she deserves and the chance to move without pain, to play with her favorite toys, and to splash in the water she loves so much. 🐾🌊

If you can help us get Raven her wheels, you’ll be giving her the simple joys every dog should have: the ability to move easily, play, and just be a dog.

We are so grateful for every donation, share, and offer of support.💜 Whether you help by giving toward her wheels, fostering her, or simply spreading the word, you’re making a difference for Raven and thank you so much for it.

If you can give a special girl like Raven the life she’s been fighting for, please contact Apache Junction Animal Control about adoption!!💛

Meet our newest Saving Paws Member Elton ❤

Sweet Elton came to the shelter a bouncy, happy-go-lucky guy . . . but he soon became lethargic, didn't want to eat, and had a high fever. 😢

Saving Paws paid for a trip to the vet, and the shelter staff learned that he had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. What is Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever? It's a tick-borne bacterial infection, which as you can guess, has symptoms of depression, poor appetite, and a fever. He was prescribed antibiotics, and since starting treatment, he's back to his bubbly self! 🎉

While he's still on the mend, taking his meds and slowly reclaiming his appetite, this guy is ready to recover in his new home!

He is currently up for adoption at Apache Junction Animal Control ❤
