So if you were to choose what time the work sessions were held, when would you want them?

This was posted recently. If we are requiring principals to attend these work sessions, they should not be pulled from their duties on campus. They are already pulled by Popalardo for unscheduled meetings constantly. They are unable to do their job effectively if they are not on their campus 🤷🏽‍♀️ My thought

Apache Junction Unified School District governing board work sessions may be changed from 2 p.m. to later in the day so principals are not pulled from their campuses and so one board member who …

I have been unable to make the last two work sessions. We need to change the times. And it would benefit the principals so they can remain on their campus for their kids. (Since they are required to be at board meetings)

I need your help! Does anybody know what date the board meeting was when the AJUSD board last spoke about the letter grades the schools received?

10/29/2025

I was shocked at some of the comments at the call to public last night. I was not informed of any of this. If anybody is ever having issues with our district, I highly suggest you contact the superintendent and CC the board members. We need to know what’s going on.

So tonight there was a board retreat. Normally somebody calls me when the meeting is about to start. Today nobody did. Purposely excluded?

UPDATE: I guess Dena thought I was going to call them and I was waiting for her call. Cami left her phone on the dais so she didn’t know I was trying to get a hold of them. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Sometimes I wonder about our district. I was told that once we hit our budget cap, the county no longer pays for anything. So we cannot go over our budget. But my biggest concern is that I’m signing all these vouchers that I have no idea what they are. I have asked for a coding chart because the last voucher that I got only had numbers on it. I would like to know what the district is paying and who they’re paying, but it seems to be a mystery at times

So, yesterday was the fastest board meeting ever. I told them I would be there at 3. Meeting was over in an hour (by 3). Not sure if my questions have been answered, waiting for transcripts to verify…..

So it finally happened. I will not be able to attend the work session today. My work has denied my request for time off. I will be emailing my questions and try to get there as soon as possible. 🤬

Well, I did it. I hate being that guy, but I do not see why we as a district are lying to our community. Or trying to hide things. One of the board members asked me “how do you think this helps our district?” I have only been speaking of truths and things that I have seen. Does it help our district? Probably not in the short term. However, if nobody knows what the problems are, how are we to fix them? I know that I do not have the answers. That is why we have five board members. Well, four active ones. And I still want to work as a team to get things accomplished. But everything is out on the table now. At least everything that I know.
