Avenue A We partner with rural youth age 11-19 to build resilience and leadership through creative expression, social development, wellness, & career skill building.

Avenue A was created in 2007 as a space for teens to gather for open hours and specific programming, and as a community gathering place. Avenue A is also available for use by community groups, at no charge if the group services teenagers, or for a donation, and for individuals to rent for celebrations. Supervised open hours for teens 13-18 are on Friday nights from 6:30-9 pm. Free tutoring and co

Thank you, Kiwanis Club of Peterborough NH!

We are so grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Peterborough for funding our TACO (Teens Are Cooking Organization) program for yet another year!

Their ongoing support makes it possible for teens to learn culinary skills, try new recipes, build confidence in the kitchen, and connect over home-cooked, sit-down meals with one another and our caring volunteers.

Thanks to the Kiwanis, 31 teens participated in TACO during the 2025–2026 school year! That means 31 young people had opportunities to cook, share meals, laugh together, and build community around the dinner table.

We are incredibly grateful for Kiwanis's continued belief in our teens and their commitment to making these experiences possible. Thank you for helping us keep TACO cooking!

Lawn Chair Drill Team Tour 2026! Seven stops. One day. LOTS of lawn chairs. And an incredible amount of joy brought to senior living communities and public library parking lots all around our corner of the world!

Our favorite feedback of the day came from a resident at Spring Village at Summerhill: “Keep it up kiddos. You’ve got rhythm!”

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful volunteer Stephen for being our tour bus driver, photographer, hype man, and all-around support person for the day. We couldn't have done it without you!

Thank you to Bernadette for capturing our performance video... And of course, BIG thanks to our amazing Lawn Chair Drill Team fashion designer Jen Murdough, who once again made sure our team looked fabulous!

We are so proud of our teens for bringing their creativity, teamwork, and infectious enthusiasm to every stop. Long live the lawn chairs!

We had a fantastic Leadership Day on Monday... Our scavenger-hunt-themed adventure focused on teamwork, creativity, and communication!

Teens worked in teams to complete challenges that unlocked clues in the scavenger hunt, which led them from Antrim to Peterborough.

Teens made sheet tunics and donned fake mustaches. They followed clues to find hidden puzzles at All Saints Church. They selected books from the Peterborough Town Library to present as interpretive dance, mime, musicals, and more— incorporating some very random mystery objects into their performances! Teams explored downtown with a photo scavenger hunt, and ended at Reynolds Hall for one last challenge... making a dish for dinner! Teams came up with a recipe to make based on their assigned budgets and headed to Shaw's to shop. Then they returned to Reynolds Hall, prepared their dishes and ended the day by sitting down to share dinner together!

The whole day was a reminder that leadership isn't just about being in charge—it's about listening, communicating, solving problems together, including others, and trying new things!

We are SO grateful to the Grand Monadnock Rotary Club NH USA for sponsoring our leadership program and making days like this possible for our teens. ❤️

Thanks to the Peterborough Players "Players Gives" program, Avenue A teens had the opportunity to see the Player's Production of "Emma" this week! Our teens loved the fresh, comedic take on the classic story—especially the characters breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to the audience.

We had some wonderful conversations about Harriet's character arc and the way she found her confidence and voice by the end of the show. Our teens found so much to connect with in her journey!

One of our teens, Gwen, shared: “I loved this adaptation of Emma! I think it encapsulated the humor of the novel quite well, and the actors clearly had great rapport with one another. I thought the depiction of Jane Fairfax was especially great.”

We were especially excited to bring along teens who had never been to the Players before—including one teen who had never seen a live play before! Thank you Peterborough Players! ❤️

Our Lawn Chair Drill Team had a fantastic season debut at the Hancock Old Home Day parade, taking home the medal for "Best Walkers"! They're preparing to bring the joy of lawn chairs to the world tomorrow with their parking lot tour-- with stops at local senior living communities and a performance at the Peterborough Town Library patio at 4pm and the James A. Tuttle Library parking lot at 6pm!

Our annual Backyard Ren Faire and Pickle Potluck delivered a beautiful evening of whimsy and joy! Dressed in wonderfully creative outfits, our teens feasted on pickles and took on an evening of dragon slaying, pool noodle jousting, and a dragon egg hunt. Our Captain Jack Sparrow Jar of Dirt Running Contest ended the night with a lot of laughter!

Thank you to Sergeant Christensen from the Antrim NH Police Department for joining in on the fun with our teens! Thanks to our volunteer Sarah for chaperoning the fun...and thanks to Stephen for donating decorations and Bev for making flower crowns with us!

We recently gathered amidst sunflowers, artwork, custom t-shirts, temporary tattoos and nostalgic photos to celebrate Jacqueline Roland on 10 years of dedication, leadership and service to the Grapevine and our entire community! Our free back-to-school clothing day for middle and high schoolers is tomorrow (Monday) from 5-7pm! We've collected a giant amount of gently used clothes! Teens are invited to come and stock up for the new school year! We love this event because clothes are fun... and free clothes are even more fun! If you're looking for kids/baby clothes, The Grapevine will have those sizes next door....It's a clothing extravaganza! We hope to see everyone tomorrow!
