September is Kinship Caregiver Month—a time to recognize and honor the grandparents, relatives, and close family friends who step in to raise children when their parents are unable to do so.💜
In New Hampshire alone, thousands of children are being cared for by relatives or family friends. Many kinship caregivers take on this responsibility with little notice or preparation, making sure children remain safe, supported, and connected to family. While this care can be deeply meaningful, the transition may also bring unexpected stress, financial strain, and emotional challenges.

At The Grapevine, we support kinship caregivers from all backgrounds through emotional support, resource navigation, and opportunities for connection.

To learn more about our kinship services, please call us (603) 588-2620 or stop by during our kinship open hour (on select Wednesday from 12 to 1:00pm). You do not have to navigate kinship caregiving alone. 💜

We gathered as a full staff today and bid a final farewell to Jacqueline Roland. We'll be planting a sunflower garden in her honor next Spring and will welcome her back to see them in bloom. We donned our custom sunflower t-shirts with her quote, "I did what I came to do." Jacqueline, you most certainly did! You will be missed beyond measure! Avenue A 🌻💜
