Meet Terryck Carter, better known to his students as Mr. T!
Mr. T is entering his 2nd school year at Wren Avenue Elementary. He is kicking off the school year by creating a space where students can connect, learn, and have meaningful conversations together.

During one of their first group sessions, students enjoyed pizza while discussing “The Color of Friendship” and exploring topics like diversity, empathy, stereotypes, and the importance of understanding others.

Through conversations like these, our students are learning how to appreciate differences, challenge assumptions, and build stronger relationships with those around them. 🖤

We’re excited to see Mr. T and his students continue to grow together this school year!

Meet Miss Angela, our Delta Bay Impact coordinator at Riverview Middle School. This is Angela's 3rd year with Delta Bay Impact and her 2nd year at Riverview!

Miss Angela kicked off her first group session by setting the foundation for a successful year. Students were introduced to the Delta Bay Impact program, learned what they can expect throughout the year, and discussed the importance of positive behavior, making good choices, and conducting themselves responsibly on campus.

These first conversations are all about building trust, establishing expectations, and creating a space where students feel supported, encouraged, and ready to grow. 🖤

We’re excited to see the relationships Miss Angela builds with her students and all that they’ll accomplish together this school year!

$280,000 In Scholarships!

What an incredible experience for our Delta Bay Impact students at Liberty High School!

Students recently attended the Black College Fair, where they had the opportunity to explore HBCUs, connect with college representatives, learn about higher education opportunities, and take meaningful steps toward their futures.

And we’re proud to share that Liberty High School students received a combined total of $280,000 in scholarship awards!
Experiences like this are about more than a field trip—they’re about exposure, opportunity, and helping students see what’s possible for their future.

Congratulations to the Liberty High students on this amazing accomplishment! We’re excited to continue supporting them as they explore college, career, and beyond. 🖤

Meet Raphael Jemmott, known around campus as Coach Raph! This is Raphael’s 3rd year mentoring with Delta Bay Impact and 2nd Year at Liberty High School.

Coach Raph and his Liberty High students are already off to a strong start! Their group sessions have focused on understanding your potential, recognizing the value of community, and learning about Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

And the learning hasn’t stopped in the classroom! Students have explored Liberty’s College & Career Center and attended the Black College Fair, giving them an opportunity to learn more about college pathways and possibilities for their futures.

From discovering their potential to gaining exposure to opportunities beyond high school, Coach Raph is helping students think bigger about where their futures can take them.

We’re looking forward to everything this group will accomplish this year! 🖤

Summer is a great time to encourage kids to spend time outdoors, exercise and enjoy healthy movement!

Looking for ways to keep your kids moving? Try some of these outdoor activities:

Ride a bike around the neighborhood
Play basketball at a local park
Kick a soccer ball with friends and family
Take a nature walk or scavenger hunt
Run through the sprinklers
Visit a playground or park

Because of your support, our students experienced more than just a baseball game—they shared laughs, built friendships, created lasting memories, and enjoyed an opportunity many may not have had otherwise.
