Did you know research increasingly shows a significant overlap between Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and Autism, particularly in women.

One common experience for us autistic EDS zebras is the "medical gaslighting" that occurs. It takes way too long for a proper diagnosis (if you ever get one) and as a rare disease there is limited attention in terms of research.

In honor of Ehlers-Danlos Zebra Month of May, we are sharing an article from EDS.clinic written by David Harris about medical gaslighting, link is in comments.

Do you have any stories of medical gaslighting? Do you have personal experiences with EDS?

This Autism Acceptance month we share a vital reminder:

Find your tribe. Keep your spark.

For too long, many of us navigated the world in isolation, possessing a light that went unrecognized and unsupported. At Autistic Women's Alliance, we know that communities we build together are not just supportive-they are transformative. πŸ€—

As an autistic-led 501(c3) organization, we empower autistic individuals from historically underrepresented genders to thrive through peer mentoring, education, and community outreach.

Above all, we are more than an organization; we are a dedicated collective built on shared experience and mutual dedication to empowering the lives of autistic individuals.

We are looking for a volunteer with experience using MailChimp or a comparable marketing email platform. Depending on the data analysis, we want this person to present a recommended approach with some steps on how to clean up the data in MailChimp. This person may also be responsible for executing these steps - it depends on which recommended approaches that the board goes with. The time commitment/Proposed timeline may adjust based on the board's recommended approach, which is why they are considered "flexible."

MailChimp Migration Project Duration: Temporary (Project-based, approx. 6–10 weeks) Location: Remote Time Commitment: Flexible (estimated 5–10 hours/week) Project Summary We are currently using Mailch

As we start the month of June, we'd like to wish everyone Happy Gay Pride.

(Alt text, page 1: pride flag with text at the bottom "Happy Pride Month" with and our logo next to that, page 2 has text "Autistic Women's Spent Supports and Celebrates Pride Month" against purple background with our name and logo at the bottom)

We are reusing the same banner from last year with one minor difference: updated logo.
