“I am an atheist, but I would like to be baptized.”

That’s what Pascal told our missionaries after attending church in St. Nazaire, France. He had never read the Bible or grown up around church. But something about the love, joy, and community he experienced kept drawing him back. 🇫🇷

Over the months that followed, Pascal began to understand the Gospel and the love of God. Eventually, he returned to our missionaries with a different request: he still wanted to be baptized, but this time as a believer in Jesus Christ.

Today, Pascal is serving his church, leading a men’s prayer breakfast, sharing devotions, and helping strengthen marriages in his church family.

This is the IMpact of the Gospel. ❤️

3.5 billion people remain unreached, meaning they don’t have access to the gospel. But that’s just an abstract number, and honestly, too big to fully grasp. It’s so much more personal than that. What if I could tell you their names?

Or better yet—what if you met them? IM is sending Christians to teach English in some of the least-reached countries in the world, places closed to the Gospel and in desperate need of light.

We need Christians with a heart for the nations who:
-Are native English speakers
-Have a BA, MA, or PhD in any field
-Want to grow professionally (discounted Master’s degree, anyone?)
-Want to bring a friend or go with their family
-Are retired and want to use this next life season to make a meaningful difference
-Be equipped with thorough training, then join an established team teaching English in unreached countries throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia.

The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. You could bring hope to those who have none—to Youssef in Tunisia, to Mira in Jordan, to Chanya in Laos, to Bekjon in Uzbekistan, to Liu Wei in China.

Lauren Williams is officially fully funded and preparing to head to France! 🇫🇷

There are still some important steps ahead before she gets there, including pre-field training at MTI in October and working through the process of finding a school/language program in France. These language classes will be an important part of her preparation and will help lead into the visa process.

Thank you for giving to her ministry so that she can spread the Gospel to the people in France.

Would you pray for Lauren as she begins navigating these next steps? Pray for wisdom and clarity as she works through school and language program options, the visa process, and her upcoming training at MTI.

We can’t wait to see Lauren head to the field! 🙌🏼

Where are the Whites now?

The Whites have completed their two-year internship with IM. Now, the Whites have relocated to the Middle Tennessee area, where they will continue to invest in the community through teaching, music, and serving in the local body of Christ. They continue to live on mission for the Lord in this new season!

Their resignation with IM will be official on September 1, 2026. Tristen White will do remote contract work for Hope Alive until the end of the year.

Looking back on their ministry at IM…They were commissioned as interns in December 2022; they quickly raised support and funding to get to the field and began ministry at Hope Alive Church. They served faithfully in Tokorozawa, Tokyo, Japan for the last two years. 🇯🇵

Using their God-given talents and passions, they played a vital role in ministry and outreach to the Japanese. From having their first child in Japan to being a part of a growing church ministry at Hope Alive, which recently launched a new sister church plant in Ikebukuro, God used their family to continue the spreading of the Gospel in the greater Tokyo area.

We thank the Whites for their dedication, service, and ministry. Join us in praying for God to continue blessing their family as they serve Him now in the United States. 🙏🏼
