Our goals are to help our beautiful community with food insecurity and assist those in need in any way we can.

Hello community!! We are so happy to see so many people in this area donating clothes, games , books, and toys to Debbies Closet !! We are so touched by the kindness we are surrounded by!! Here's our August Wishlist! Some of you may know that in July through two separate instances we lost 700 lbs of food. If anyone feels in their heart to send something our way it can be dropped off Tues-Thurs 9am - 12:30.

ITS HOT!! Temperatures are rising and we, unfortunately, do not have air conditioning. When picking up food please take measures to remain cool such as proper attire and carrying water. We will try and get you in and out as swiftly as possible.

CONSUTRUCTION NOTICE
We currently have roads closed or semi-closed around the food bank. We are still open!! The best way to get here is come off East Main Street to Tremont Street and the first left is South Cliff Street. Call if you need to reschedule. 2037342715

LIGHTNING STRIKES
Unfortunately lightning has hit the transformer next to us causing us to lose power. Lost power means lost food, we are down roughly 700 lbs. of refrigerated and frozen goods. Please be patient with us as we try and recover form this loss.

Here at Samela Food Bank we are always so grateful to receive donations of clothing for all ages. That being said we are not dumping grounds for garbage you no longer wish to keep. Lately we have received bags of dirty socks, stained/ used undergarments, ripped items, sweat stained clothes and more. While we love being able to clothe our community donating dirty or ruined clothes creates a disaster for us. Items with biological waste, mildew, or severe damage can spread germs or disease and can compromise other donations. By donationg these types of things it untimatly harms us. We ask you be considerate in your donations in the future. Thank You - SFB
