Ten years ago, the Anoka/Ramsey community lost a true pillar with the tragic passing of Courtney Monson due to domestic violence.

Courtney was a dedicated volunteer and board member with the Anoka Ramsey Athletic Association. It was nearly impossible to walk past a field without being greeted by her warm smile. More importantly, she was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and daughter.

Her life touched countless people, and her loss continues to be felt deeply throughout our community. Not a day goes by that she isn’t remembered.

No one should ever have to live in fear of domestic abuse. Everyone deserves a safe place to turn.

In Courtney’s honor, we ask that if you are able, please consider donating to Alexandra House to help ensure that those in need have a place of safety and support.

It’s Almost Here!

The ARAA Sponsorship Dinner – Behind the Scenes: Celebrating Effort is happening tomorrow night!

We can’t wait to gather with our amazing community to recognize the volunteers, coaches, sponsors, and families whose behind-the-scenes effort makes youth sports possible.

This special evening supports registration discounts and ARAA’s bereavement program — helping ensure every child has the opportunity to play, grow, and belong.

Doors open at 6:00pm with dinner and programming starting at 6:30pm.

Let’s celebrate the effort that makes it all happen. See you tomorrow night at Greenhaven Golf Course!

Sports families understand, perhaps better than anyone, the need to be flexible, to shift gears quickly, adapt on the fly, and always put family first.

Last week, we were excited to announce that CJ Ham would be the keynote speaker for the 2026 ARAA Sponsorship Dinner. Unfortunately, a family commitment has come up and CJ is no longer able to join us.

We’re incredibly grateful that Vikings legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer John Randle has graciously stepped in and will now serve as our keynote speaker for the evening.
