As we wrap up another trip to Ghana, we simply want to say thank you.

Every meal served, every child we spend time with, every opportunity to learn, and every relationship we continue to build is possible because so many people choose to support OptioVillage.

Whether you donate, pray, share our work, give supplies, travel with us, or encourage us from home, you are part of this.

The trip may be ending, but the work continues. Our partners are here every day, and we are grateful to continue walking alongside them.

There is still much more to do, and we hope you’ll continue on this journey with us.

Today, we visited Chorkor to deliver supplies to widows in the community.

These people have been through so much, and it was truly a blessing to be able to bless them with these supplies.

Grateful for the opportunity to bring a little hope, love, and support to the widows of Chorkor. ❤️ 🙏🏾

Today we traveled to a village in Somanya, Ghana, where we had the opportunity to serve and give back to about 200 people in the community.

We handed out food, toiletries, clothing, and other essential items to families in the village. It was such a meaningful experience to meet the people, share what we brought, and see the impact that a simple act of giving can have.

We’re so grateful for everyone who donated and helped make this possible. Every item donated made its way into someone’s hands today. ❤️ 🙏🏾

Today was such a beautiful reminder of how much a simple act of giving can mean. We spent the day distributing clothing, undergarments, personal care items, and other necessities.

Seeing the smiles, excitement, and gratitude made every suitcase, every donation, and every effort worth it.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today possible. Your generosity is reaching people here in Ghana in a very real way. 🇬🇭❤️

Yesterday we spent time helping with the kids and serving a healthy meal. For some, something as simple as a good meal and a few hours of education can make a meaningful difference in their day.

This is the kind of work that reminds us why OptioVillage exists. We can’t solve everything. But we can show up, help meet the need in front of us, and keep investing in these kids and their future.

Yesterday, that looked like learning, full plates, lots of little hands—and a whole lot of smiles. ❤️

Day 2: our team spent several hours preparing and handing out jollof rice and chicken to about 300 children at Deliverance School and church. It can be a bit crazy with all of the children, but it is a blessing to bless.

Our first full day in Ghana was spent with the children and staff at the Fern House. There are many small children here. Obed and Eden played soccer and basketball with the children for hours. We were able to deliver some donations we collected from many of you who support the work of Optiovillage. We continue to see prayers and support for the mission here in Ghana.
