The Barnabas Home boys and staff participated in a garden program through Grace Covenant Ministries Formerly Jackson County Ministries with support from the Grow Appalachia Program at Berea College.

Grow Appalachia provided the seeds and plants while the boys did the planting, weeding and harvesting with the help of staff.

One of our residents pictured below enjoyed working in the garden and harvesting all of the wonderful vegetables! He loved sharing his harvest with the other residents as well as his new foster family.

We loved getting to be a part of this big event! We can’t wait to see everyone again next year! You can never go wrong with Hibachi and FIREWORKS! 🎆

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who came out yesterday to celebrate our nation's 250th with us! Also, I can't express this enough, THANK-YOU to POND CREEK FIRE DEPARTMENT! They took care of trash, directed traffic and stayed until near midnight cleaning up the property.

Last night's fireworks were amazing! It was beyond a full-house on campus! Please share any pictures you may have taken last night!

Barnabas Home Inc. is now accepting applications for Child Care Workers to join our team serving youth in a residential setting. We are excited to offer 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with multiple shift options, plus weekend opportunities!

Position Details:
• 💼 Position: Child Care Worker
• ⏰ Shifts: 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday
• 📅 Weekend Option: Saturday & Sunday shifts available
• 💰 Starting Salary: $34,000 per year
• 🏠 Work Environment: Residential youth care

Responsibilities Include:
• Providing supervision and support to youth
• Creating a safe, structured, and positive environment
• Assisting with daily routines and activities
• Serving as a positive role model and mentor
• Following agency policies and state regulations

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED (required)
