Our annual Turkey Fry is right around the corner, and it remains one of our most popular community traditions. Every year, folks bring in their turkeys, we toe tag them evidence style, and fry them up to perfection. The small fee collected goes straight to the Calhoun County Sheriffâs Foundation, supporting programs that benefit our community.
While the event is always a hit, most of the proceeds go right back into making it happen. Last year alone, we used dozens of butter injectors, seasoning shakers, heavy duty gloves, oil dry, and more than thirty jugs of peanut oil to keep the fryers running safely and smoothly.
This year, weâre hoping to offset some of those costs through community donations. If you or your business would like to help, here are a few of the items we rely on most:
âą Peanut oil â 3 gallon jugs
âą Injectable butter â 17 oz bottles
âą Seasoning shakers â 32 oz containers
âą Work gloves â thick, heat resistant
âą Oil dry â bags for spill safety
Every donation helps us keep this tradition alive, safe, and fun for everyone. If youâre interested in contributing, reach out to our office and weâll get you connected.
We canât wait to see everyone again this year â and weâre already looking forward to toe tagging those turkeys.
