The Jax State Victory Center—a Calhoun County–based program providing mental health services and career/employment support for veterans and their families—is hosting a February Donation Drive to support our elder veterans living in local veteran retirement and assisted living homes.

This month, we’re partnering with our amazing community to assemble care packages filled with comfort and appreciation. We’re currently accepting donations such as:

- Hygiene products
- Word games & activity items
- New socks
- Other comfort items

All donations made to the Jax State Victory Center are tax-deductible.

🗓 Donation deadline: February 20, 2026
🚚 Care package deliveries: February 23–27, 2026
(Late donations are welcome!)

✨ As a thank-you, all donating partners will be spotlighted on our social media and, when applicable, in news articles.

🎉 Big News from Victory Workforce!🇺🇸

Our team was honored to travel to Washington, D.C. for the Department of Wars Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) Induction Ceremony, where Victory Workforce was proudly inducted as a new MSEP partner. This national partnership supports meaningful career opportunities for military spouses, and acceptance requires a rigorous vetting process—making this recognition especially meaningful.

We are also proud Spouse Ambassador Network (SAN) partners, further strengthening our commitment to military spouses and their families. A special moment for us was having Jacksonville State University President, Dr. Don Killingsworth, walk across the stage to show his support and formally acknowledge our partnership. As a military-friendly institution, JSU continues to demonstrate its dedication to service members, veterans, and military families.

This milestone reflects how deeply proud we are to support the men and women in uniform and those who stand beside them every day. 💙🤍❤️

The Jacksonville State University Victory Workforce Development Services team is beyond excited to be in our nation’s capital as we prepare to be inducted into the U.S. Department of Defense’s Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) program this week!

Big opportunities. Meaningful partnerships. And an even bigger commitment to serving our military families. 💪✨

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break! ❄️Now that we’ve all survived our first full week back, I wanted to share a few photos from right before the break.

We were honored to have a surprise visit to the Victory Center from Attorney General Steve Marshall and Mike Raita, Regional Director for Sen. Tommy Tuberville. Both shared how much they love the work being done here at the Center, especially our ability to serve veterans and the military-connected community. They expressed their excitement to see us continue to grow and expand our efforts to support those in need. We are incredibly grateful for their support and encouragement as we continue our mission to serve those who have served!

We had an amazing visit at the MTSU Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center today. This center is so beautiful and welcoming and is a great role model to look up to. I am so glad we had the honor to meet Lt. General Hubert, Dr. Hillary Miller, and Ms. Lori Ogden. ❤️ Thank you all for all you do for our Veterans, Military Members,and their families. You are such an inspiration. 🇺🇸

We had a wonderful visit from representatives from the Jacksonville State University Victory Center, Victory Workforce Development Services, and Alabama Power! We look forward to working with y'all!

What an incredible Veterans Week it has been for the Victory Workforce team! 🇺🇸💙

We had the honor of attending three amazing events celebrating and recognizing our nation’s heroes:

📚 Take a Vet to School Day — sponsored by The History Channel and hosted by Hokes Bluff High School, where the Victory Center was awarded a $1,000 check from Spectrum in support of their mission to serve Military Families!
🎓 Jacksonville State University’s Veterans Day Ceremony, where we were able to present along side Major General Bryan and Jacksonville State University's President.
🍽️ Anniston Country Club's, Rotary Club’s Veterans Day Luncheon, where we were honored to present in front of the community and fellow Veterans. We were also presented with a Rotary Club Coin at the end of the ceremony.

And we’re finishing up the week strong with the Gadsden State Hiring Event located on the Ayers Campus and then the UAB Veterans Expo in Birmingham!

We are so thankful for our community partners, Veterans, and families who made this week truly special. Every event is a reminder of how important it is to serve those who have served us. ❤️

🇺🇸 Today, I pause to honor all who have served and continue to serve our great nation. Your courage, dedication, and sacrifice protect the freedoms we hold dear.

This day holds special meaning for me as I proudly stand among the ranks of those who have served in the United States Air Force — and I am deeply thankful to my family, who are also Veterans. Serving alongside generations of my family who answered the call to duty is one of my greatest honors.

To all Veterans — past and present — thank you for your service, your strength, and your sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙
