Our very own Cubmaster, Buster Hurd, has been awarded the Silver Beaver Award.

The Silver Beaver Award is the highest council-level distinguished service award of Scouting America, recognizing registered adult volunteers for exceptional character and noteworthy service to youth. It honors those who have made a significant, long-term impact within a local council, typically requiring 10+ years of service.

Congratulations Buster. It is well deserved!

Pack 9, Troop 9 and Troop 5 celebrated Scout Sunday at St Mark's United Methodist Church today. It coincided with the Boy Scouts of America/Scouting Americs's 116th birthday. Scouts enjoyed shared worship, assisted during the service and thanked the members of our charter organization.

Pack 9 held its Pinewood Derby on Sat 2/8. There were a lot of fast and creative cars that made for fun racing by both the scouts and outlaws. Thanks to all of the kids and parents that worked hard to make it happen!

Awards were given for den winners, favorites voted by the audience, and overall winners for the pack.

On Sunday, Dec 7th members from Cub Scout Pack 9 visited local Firefighters at Anniston Station #1 and Oxford Station #1 to drop off some popcorn that was donated during our popcorn sale this fall in support of the "heroes and helpers" program. Thank you to all of the hometown heroes that support our communities!

Way to go Pack 9!

💙 A big shoutout to Cub Scout Pack 9 for their incredible generosity! 🐾

They donated a huge number of snack bags to our Open Door program, helping us care for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. Acts of kindness like this remind us what community is all about—neighbors helping neighbors.
