Our Executive Director, April LaFollette, recently joined nonprofit leaders from across Alabama at the Alabama Power Foundation Elevate conference.

We’re grateful to the Alabama Power Foundation for investing in the people who do this work every day. Time with other leaders who care about their communities as much as we care about ours is a gift.

Thank you, Alabama Power Foundation, for including us. 💛

Look at what's already coming in for Christmas Clearing House.

Toys like these will go under the tree for kids across Calhoun County this December, and we still need more to fill every family's list.

New, unwrapped toy donations are always welcome, for kids of all ages. We also need volunteers to help sort, organize, and get everything ready to go out the door.

Drop off a toy or sign up to volunteer at 1431 Gurnee Ave, Suite A. Bringing the community together to make Christmas happen, one family at a time.

Meet Josh Robinson
Josh joined the Interfaith Ministries board in May 2026, bringing a background in marketing, communications, and event planning to the table. He serves as Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Jacksonville State University, where he works with students every day.

Josh is passionate about meeting basic needs and emergency assistance in our community, and he's especially drawn to Interfaith's impact on the people it serves. Outside the office, you'll find him hiking, cheering on the Gamecocks, or planning his next cruise. He also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Red Cross.

Welcome to the board, Josh! We're glad to have you.

Some people leave a legacy you can still feel years later. Martha Vandervoort is one of them.

Martha led Interfaith Ministries as our Executive Director. She started The Open Door to care for neighbors experiencing homelessness, and she helped grow our free adult dental clinic. Today, both are still serving Calhoun County.

Last week, friends from all over gathered at C***r Ridge Golf Club for the Martha Vandervoort Memorial Golf Classic. All proceeds from the tournament go to local faith-based charities, and we are so grateful Interfaith is one of them.

Thank you to NobleBank, the golfers, the sponsors, and every volunteer who showed up early. That’s what neighbors do. They show up for each other, and for the ones who come after them.

Meet two of the dentists who keep our dental clinic running.

Dr. Bruce Cunningham and Dr. Wallace Price give their time and their skill to care for neighbors who can’t afford a dentist. They’re two of several dentists who volunteer at our Adult Dental Clinic each month, and we are so thankful for every one of them.

Because of their service, a neighbor in Calhoun County can walk in with a toothache and walk out with relief, and a reason to smile.

Thank you, Dr. Cunningham and Dr. Price, and thank you to every dentist who gives their time to this clinic. You make our community healthier!

Did you know every child who comes through Christmas Clearing House leaves with new pajamas and socks?

For some families, that's a nice extra. For others, it's the first new pair they've had in a while.

We need pajamas and socks in kids' sizes, toddler through teen.

Drop yours off at 1431 Gurnee Ave, Suite A, Anniston. Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM- 2:00 PM.

Yesterday’s lunch for our homebound neighbors. Hot, homemade, and delivered to their door.

Our Meals on Wheels drivers bring a meal and a friendly face to neighbors in Anniston and Oxford, Monday through Friday. For some of them, that knock on the door is the best part of their day.

Want to be that friendly face? One hour, one route, once a month. Call us at 256-237-1472 to sign up as a driver.

Thank you, Evelyn East!

When our Meals on Wheels Program Director, Nancy, was out recently, Evelyn stepped in and kept hot lunches moving to our homebound neighbors in Anniston and Oxford.

We are so grateful for her. Showing up when you're needed is what this community is about.

Meals on Wheels runs on volunteer drivers, and we always have room for more. Give us a call at 256-237-1472 to get started.
