Center of Concern The Center of Concern, in downtown Anniston, offers food and clothing as well as household and utili

The Center of Concern operates a food pantry and clothing bank for those in need. The Center also provides financial assistance for prescription medications, emergency medical or dental care, and utilities for those referred by social service agencies, in which the need has been verified. While our operational costs are funded by Catholic Charities, through the Diocese of Birmingham, ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of all donations received goes to direct relief of those in need in the Anniston and Calhoun County area.

We are in desperate need of items for our food pantry. Pop top beanie weenies, spaghetti cups or ravioli cups, fruit cups, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, pasta sauce, green beans, rice, and crackers. Please drop off all donations at the Center between the hours of 7am until 2pm.

With school out and there is an increase in the number of people that are homeless we are feeding 400+ families and homeless individuals each month. I order from the food bank in Birmingham but our supply is less than our demand. Most items are currently not available from the food bank. I also purchase items from Sam's and Walmart (a case of canned vegetables from the Food bank runs about $7 and at our local stores its $15 to $17 per case.)
