A Friendly Reminder from Your Local Fire Department

We appreciate everyone who comes out to support events at the community center, and we’re grateful to be part of such a great community.

We do want to ask for everyone’s help with one very important safety issue.

Please do not park in front of the fire station bay doors or in any area marked with yellow striped lines. Those areas are designated as NO PARKING zones for a reason.

When an emergency call comes in, every second matters. Fire engines and response vehicles must be able to leave the station immediately without having to wait for personal vehicles to be moved or maneuver around parked cars. Even a short delay can have serious consequences when someone is depending on us.

The yellow striped areas are not extra parking spaces—they are safety zones that provide the clearance our emergency vehicles need to safely enter and exit the station.

If you’re attending an event, please take a moment to park in a designated parking space, even if it means a slightly longer walk. That small inconvenience could make a life-saving difference for someone in our community.

Thank you for helping us keep our firefighters, personnel, and the citizens we serve safe. Your cooperation ensures we’re ready to respond when our community needs us most.

I’m missing my toy poodle, Teddy, from the Dearmanville area.

Teddy is 6 years old, weighs approximately 6–7 pounds, and is mostly white with gray and black ears and a black nose. He is very smart and friendly, although he can be a little less comfortable around men. Teddy is not neutered.

If you have seen Teddy or have any information about his whereabouts, please call or text 256-452-9183.

Please come out and support your local volunteer fire department. Your support helps us continue serving our community and assists with funding equipment, fuel, training, truck maintenance, and other operational needs.

Whether you stop by for a BBQ plate, sandwich, or simply to say hello, we greatly appreciate your support.

Wow, what a turn out! Thank y’all so much for coming out to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Choccolocco Community Center. It meant a lot to see so many familiar faces and new ones too.
We loved getting to celebrate with everyone and show off the space.
The main room being named after Ms. Georgia Calhoun made it even more special.
Can’t wait to see all the memories that are made here.
