🎄❤️ IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! ❤️🎄

Christmas is right around the corner, and we’re excited to begin collecting donations and gift items to bless our students at Beauty for Ashes Recovery this Christmas! 🎁

The holidays can be a difficult time for those walking through recovery, and we want each of our students to know that they are valued, loved, and cared for. Sometimes, a simple gift is a beautiful reminder that someone is thinking of you and that you’re not walking this journey alone. ❤️

✨ Here’s how YOU can be a part of it!
🎁 Adopt a Resident: Shop for a student and help make their Christmas special.
❤️ Make a Donation: Give toward gifts, and we’ll do the shopping for you!

We ask that everyone keep a budget of around $30 to help keep things fair for all our residents.

It’s so exciting to see our community coming together to contribute to the Little Free Pantry! Specifically, I’ve noticed food and hygiene items added by anonymous community members over the past few days. This is exactly what I knew the pantry could be! ❤️ Remember, every donation can make a big difference for someone in need - so stop by and leave what you can!

WHERE: Lincoln’s Landing Fishing Park (740 Travis Dr, Lincoln, AL 35096)

PLEASE NOTE: This special event will replace our regularly scheduled monthly food distribution for October. If you normally attend our monthly distribution, this is the date, time, and location to receive your groceries and essentials this month!

The Lincoln Food Pantry is proud to partner with Feed the Children and Team Honda to host the Resource Rally: Drive-Thru Food Distribution right here in Lincoln!

This drive-thru event is completely free and open to local families, providing shelf-stable food boxes, hygiene and personal care items, and additional essentials (while supplies last).

How It Works:
Line up in your vehicle, follow the traffic directions, pop your trunk, and our team will load the supplies directly inside for you. No need to get out of your car.

His beauty is all around us 🍁.
Even when we struggle to see it sometimes (🙋‍♀️ 🥹). Sometimes we have to re-examine the lens we are looking through… sometimes remove them altogether and then pray to see all seasons and others through His eyes.

Gov. Kay Ivey has awarded more than $280,000 to help Alabama inmates overcome drug addiction before they're released from prison.

The $280,806 grant will fund a 12-month substance abuse treatment program at eight state prisons, including Bibb, Bullock, Donaldson, Easterling, Staton, Ventress, St. Clair and Tutwiler Prison for Women.

The program provides inmates with education, counseling and drug testing to help address substance abuse issues that can contribute to criminal activity.

Drug testing will take place before, during and after the program for as long as participants remain in Alabama Department of Corrections custody.

Ivey says the goal is to reduce repeat offenses and help inmates build more productive lives after their release.

The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Justice and will be administered by the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. ADOC will also contribute $93,602 in matching funds.
