🌟 Illinois FFA State Convention 🌟

Illinois State FFA Convention 2026 was one for the books! This week, we celebrated:

🌟 Lexi being recognized as a Gold Ranking Top 10 Chapter President
🌟 Lexi earning her State FFA Degree
🌟 Katie, Paige and Ella receiving their American FFA Degrees
🌟 Our chapter being honored with a Bronze National Chapter Award
🌟 Paige concluding her year of service to Illinois FFA with her retiring address that marked the end of an incredible and historic year of service

The lights have dimmed, the sessions have ended, and the blue jackets are back home, but the spark remains.

Behind each of these moments are years of hard work, early mornings, late nights, unwavering support, and students who chose to step outside of their comfort zones and chase opportunities. The awards and recognitions are exciting, but the growth, leadership, friendships, and memories made along the way mean even more.

This year's convention theme was SPARK, and this week was a beautiful reminder that all it takes is a spark—of confidence, leadership, service, or encouragement—to ignite something extraordinary.

Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered on these students throughout their journeys. We couldn't be more proud of the way they represented our chapter and the bright futures ahead of them.

While State FFA Convention may be over, the spark is still igniting—fueling new dreams, future leaders, and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.💙💛🌽

As a chapter officer team and on behalf of our chapter, we want to take a moment to say thank you to our FFA advisor for the impact she has had on our chapter, our members, and each of us personally.

Your guidance, encouragement, and belief in all of us has helped shape our program into what it is today. Because of you, we have grown as leaders, found confidence in ourselves, and experienced opportunities we will carry with us long after high school.

While we are sad to see you go, we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done for Annawan FFA and the lasting legacy you leave behind. You will always be a part of this chapter family, and we wish you nothing but the best in what comes next.

🎉 Annawan FFA Chapter Banquet 🎉

A few weeks ago, we celebrated an incredible year at our annual FFA Chapter Banquet! 💙💛 It was a night filled with reflection, recognition, and appreciation for the hard work, leadership, and growth of our members throughout the year.

We are excited to introduce our 2026-2027 Annawan FFA Officer Team:

🎉 Section 3 FFA Banquet 🎉

What a great night celebrating the accomplishments of our members at the Section 3 FFA Banquet! 💙💛

Our chapter was recognized for earning the top Greenhand Food Science Team and top Varsity Poultry Judging Team in the section. Individually, Declan Woods was recognized as the top individual in the Poultry Judging Contest, and Alex Attig earned top individual honors in the Greenhand Food Science Contest.

We are also proud to celebrate Lexi Wilson as she retired her year of service as Section Sentinel and was re-elected to serve as the 2026-2027 Section 3 Reporter. Joining her on the officer team this year will be Bennett Sierens, who was elected to serve as the 2026-2027 Section 3 Secretary.

Congratulations to all of our members on their accomplishments and thank you to Cambridge FFA for hosting a wonderful evening!

💰 AG Business Contest Results 💰

Congratulations to our AG Business CDE team on their success at the virtual Section 3 Ag Business Contest! 💙💛

Students completed an online exam covering various aspects of agricultural business, finance, economics, and management while demonstrating their knowledge and problem-solving skills within the agriculture industry.

We are proud to recognize our individual placings:
🥈 2nd Place — Cale Jahns
🥉 3rd Place — Bennett Sierens
⭐ 9th Place — Declan Woods

We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to expanding their knowledge of the agricultural business industry. Great job representing our chapter!

✨ National FFA Scholarship Recipient ✨

Congratulations to Aleigha Witte on being selected as a recipient of the prestigious Gustafson Ford Scholarship through the National FFA Organization! 💙💛

This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, agricultural education, and community involvement. We are incredibly proud of her for this outstanding accomplishment and excited to see all that the future holds.

Living to Serve. 💛

Today, we celebrated the dedication of the Blessing Box built by students in our AG Math and AG Construction classes in partnership with the Annawan Project Pride Food Pantry and Annawan Kiwanis Club.

This project began last fall as students worked through every step of the process; developing the bill of materials, budgeting, designing, and constructing the Blessing Box for our community. The Blessing Box was created as a place where individuals can take what they need or leave what they can. As part of today’s dedication, students also helped stock the Blessing Box with items collected during our FFA “Yes We Can” Food Drive.

We are incredibly proud of our students for using their skills, leadership, and hearts to make a meaningful impact in our community. Thank you to everyone who made this opportunity possible for our students!
