Building Better Days Building Better Days is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides building and constructing toys to hospitalized children in Maryland.

Building Better Days is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity that operates in Maryland. We provide building toys to pediatric patients who are admitted 2 or more nights in the hospital, had surgery or have a serious illness and are in and out of the hospital often. We also serve their siblings. We currently serve children at Anne Arundel Medical Center, University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Ben was 12 years old when he was diagnosed with lymphoma in the Spring of 2015. He spent many long days and weeks in the hospital getting chemo and recovering from the chemo. Many days he was too ill to get up and leave his room. This made for long, boring days that we needed to fill. One of his favorite things to do was build and create with Legos, Mega Bloks and Zoob pieces. After he completed treatment, Ben decided he wanted to help other children who were in the hospital by getting them building toys. He helped start Building Better Days with the goal of getting building toys to children so their days in the hospital will be a bit better.
