Underwood & Associates U&A achieves this by designing and constructing stream and wetland systems using Regenerative Stream Channel (RSC) techniques.

Underwood & Associates strives to restore native hydrological cycles and reduce nutrient pollution with regenerative wetland, living shoreline, and stream restoration techniques. Our goal is to restore native hydrological cycles, raise groundwater tables, create habitat for endangered species, and reduce nutrient and sediment loads entering our waters. Underwood & Associates is based in Annapolis, MD and has spent over 20 years creating and restoring wetlands to clean up the Chesapeake Bay.

The Baltimore Sun released this article on Monday covering our Sherwood Episcopal Church Clean Water Project! We are thrilled to have worked on this project with Sherwood Episcopal Church and other partners. Together, we restored 886 feet of eroded ravine and created 64,593 square feet of wetlands!

This summer, a state-funded restoration project re-engineered a section of streambed upstream from York Road, capturing and slowing runoff.

The National Stream Restoration Conference came out to tour our favorite project, the Jabez Branch Stream and Bog Restoration. Folks from as far away as Texas, Georgia, Montana, and Kentucky joined us to learn about the successes and challenges of this major restoration project. The leaves were beautiful, but the bogs are even more magical at this time of year 😇
