Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run The 2025 Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run takes place at 11am on September 14th, 2025 at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium

The 9/11 Heroes Run is a programmatic branch of the Travis Manion Foundation. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that directly supports veterans, their families, and families of fallen service members. We do this by providing emergency assistance, scholarships, and other direct financial support when a family or veteran is in need; however, we’ve found the greatest impact and positive chang

e occurs when the military community is challenged to continue to serve. Families who have lost a loved one want nothing more than to honor their fallen heroes memory in a way that exemplifies their sacrifice. Similarly, veterans are looking for a mission and purpose once they leave active service.

On September 21, 2010, our nation lost a brave husband, son, brother, friend, and warrior — LT (SEAL) Brendan Looney, USN.

His surviving spouse, Amy Heffernan, now President of Travis Manion Foundation, reflects in The Knock at the Door book, “He taught me humility and discipline. He taught me patience and grace. The relationships that we form and the experiences we endure will always change us.”

Brendan will forever be remembered as a warrior for freedom and an ambassador of kindness. Today, we invite you to honor his legacy by performing at least one random act of kindness. ❤️
