📚✨ STAIR is back in action! ✨📚

Our 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and we couldn't be more excited! Across Anne Arundel County, our STAIR students and volunteer tutors are coming together for another year of reading, learning, and growing.

From opening a new book to mastering a tricky word, every small success is a step toward becoming a stronger, more confident reader. ❤️

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers, school partners, and families who make STAIR possible. Here's to a wonderful year of building reading skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading!

📖 Let the reading adventures begin!

STAIR has been busy getting ready for another great year! 📚💙

Over the past few weeks, we’ve welcomed and trained more than 60 new tutors and packed 160 student tote bags with everything our young readers need to get started.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes as we prepare to welcome our students and tutors back to STAIR—and we can’t wait to get started!

And there’s still room for a few more tutors to join us! If you’ve been thinking about volunteering with STAIR, we’d love to have you be part of the year ahead. 💙📖

STAIR is honored to be one of the nonprofit beneficiaries of this year’s Peace, Love and Pickleball. It’s a great opportunity to have some fun on the courts while supporting local organizations doing good in our community.

Come play, cheer on the players, and join in the fun! 🏓https://givebutter.com/plp26/team-stair

A big THANK YOU to Arundel Community Development Services, Inc. - ACDS and the Anne Arundel County Local Development Council (LDC) for awarding STAIR a generous $40,000 FY27 grant! ❤️📚

This meaningful investment will help STAIR continue providing free, one-on-one reading tutoring to young students across Anne Arundel County, giving more children the individualized support, encouragement, and confidence they need to grow as readers.

We are so grateful for this investment in STAIR, our students, and our community.

Thank you for helping local children Start The Adventure In Reading!
