August 1st is World Lung Cancer Day

World Lung Cancer Day raises awareness about lung cancer, focusing on prevention, early detection, and treatment, while promoting research and improved healthcare access.

As the top cause of cancer deaths globally, it highlights the importance of collective action against the disease.

If you are a smoker between the ages of 50 and 80, you may be eligible for a low or no cost lung cancer screening through the Anne Arundel County Department of Health.
