🍓 Strawberry Festival Traffic & Parking Reminder 🍓

The Cape St. Claire Strawberry Festival is this Saturday, June 6 (rain date: June 7)!

🚧 Road Closures (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
The following roads will be closed for the festival:
• Broadview Drive (between Cape St. Claire Rd. and the cul-de-sac)
• St. Catherine Drive (between Skyway Dr. and River Bay Rd.)
• River Bay Road (between house numbers 1210 and 1226)
• Riverview Drive (between Skyway Dr. and Broadview Dr.)

🚫 Temporary No Parking Zones (9:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
No parking will be permitted on either side of River Bay Road between Hampton Road and Cape St. Claire Road. These restrictions are necessary to allow safe passage for school buses and emergency vehicles.

🚌 Free Berry Bus Shuttle Service

Multiple pickup locations are available throughout the community, including Broadneck High School, Cape St. Claire Elementary, Broadneck Baptist Church, and several neighborhood stops. We're excited to be back at the Cape St. Claire Strawberry Festival this year! 🍓

Our members have been busy growing fresh strawberry plants to share with the community. Stop by our booth to play a fun game or sign up for membership and take home your very own strawberry plant to grow in your garden.

Fun historical fact: Did you know that by 1910, Maryland grew more strawberries than any other state? 🍓 And Anne Arundel County led all counties with 3,937 acres planted! It's amazing to think about the rich agricultural heritage right here in our community.

If you love history, come on by our booth. It is going to be a wonderful day filled with amazing booths, great music, and great community spirit. See you at the festival! 🌱

Goshen Farm Family Day was a wonderful success! 🏡 The Broadneck High School students created an amazing day for families, and the student musicians were fantastic. We welcomed over 500 attendees, gained new members, and were able to fundraise for the Farm. What a perfect day celebrating our community! 🌱

Important Update for Cape St. Claire Neighbors

Many residents backing up to Goshen Farm have received a letter about Fire Station Mitigation work happening on Goshen Farm. We want to clarify important details:

🌳 The work will only take place on a few selective acres of Goshen Farm's 23-acre property and is not near most trail areas.

🌿 Any herbicide use, if needed, will be highly targeted and used only where necessary to support invasive removal and successful reforestation with native plantings.

✅ All work is being completed under county oversight and in accordance with environmental standards, safety requirements, and best management practices to protect people, pets, wildlife, and the surrounding community.

Please note, this mitigation work is being conducted by Anne Arundel County, not Goshen Farm Preservation Society (GFPS). If you have questions about the mitigation work, consider attending the County meeting on April 9th at 5 PM at the Farm or contact Anne Arundel County Public Works directly.

Using the walking trails? Active work areas will be clearly identifiable and easy to avoid while walking the property. As a reminder, Goshen Farm is private property. If you enjoy our trails and want to support this community asset, please consider becoming a member.
