Hi everyone! The beginning of Spring means that its time to gear up for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides walk - all designed to help find a cure for CF! Please consider joining Team Highway to Health this year or raising money for the cause! Please message me with more questions and stay tuned for more details but the walk will be Saturday, June 3 at 11am (registration starts at 10am).

A very belated THANK YOU to all who support Team Highway to Health this year. I had to walk from Chicago but my family was in Annapolis with all of Damian's friends and family! The team was small but mighty this year - raising $6,400 towards finding a cure to Cystic Fibrosis.

Keeping up the walk was one of the last request's Damian made of me and it was something I happily agreed to do. Thank you all in your continued support of our endeavors year after year.

We really appreciate it!!

It has been a while since I have posted on this page but I wanted to let everyone who has been involved with Team Highway to Health previously that our team IS walking again this year. Hi Everyone!! I am getting a late start on this year's Cystic Fibrosis Great Strides walk this year but it IS happening. While the event is virtual again, the nice thing about that is we can have people join our team from wherever you are! This walk was something Damian looked forward to each year so I hope you will consider joining our team or donating!

Good evening everyone! I have been very delinquent in posting about this year's CFF Great Strides Walk but the walk is still ON for this Saturday (June 6) - albeit in a virtual walk-where-you-are space. I'm hopeful that folks will take a little time at some point this weekend (Saturday if you can but I am not picky!) to walk a mile in your Team Highway to Health t-shirt if you have one. While you are doing that, I'm hopeful that you will think about the fun we have had over the years at the walk and the fun you had with Damian. She was a remarkable person and despite it being almost two years since we lost her, I still reach for the phone to call her to share a funny store or get a pick me up at the end of the day. The month of May is significant to Damian for so many important reasons. First, it is her birthday month and I'm guessing all of you know how important Damian's birthday was to her and how much she loved to celebrate! Second, May is CF awareness month - the importance of which is obvious. And finally - and probably most importantly in Damian's mind - May is also the month we celebrate mother's day. And there is nothing in this world that Damian loved more than being a mother. So, it only seems right that we use this month to make a big push to increase the number of walkers we have on Team Highway to Health and/or the amount of donations we receive. Please consider joining us on June 1 in Annapolis, MD or contributing the cause!! Thank you all!

For those who may not realize it, on this day (Feb 23) back in 2005, Damian was given a second chance at life when she received her double lung transplant. It seemed right to celebrate Damian today by announcing Team Highway to Health’s participation in the 2019 CF Great Strides walk.
