Katie Ackerman Oliveira & Vagner Siqueira de Oliveira are church leaders in Wylie, Texas. Katie is full time missionary with Youth With A Mission and serves as one of the directors at a pregnancy resource center. Vagner is the children’s pastor at their church and finishing seminary at Dallas Theological. They are through their final stages of adoption approval (the home study) & are waiting for God to place their baby with them. * Katie moved to Brazil to serve as a full time missionary in 2009.
* Vagner (from São Paulo) and I met in Brazil and got married in 2014.
* We have been serving in missions the last 10 years in Brazil, Japan and now Texas.
* Mission Statement: Our heart is to empower those in need to discover and develop their true identity in Christ through healing and restoration.
* We have worked with children in after school programs, children’s homes, children living on the street, ESL and an elementary school in a slum.
* Since we married, we’ve had a desire to adopt; we believe adoption is a beautiful illustration of what God does for a person who puts his faith in Him - he adopts us into His family and we become His sons and daughters.
* We moved to Texas 3 years ago, Katie is full time missionary with Youth With A Mission and serves as one of the directors at a pregnancy resource center. Vagner is in seminary getting his master’s degree in counseling and he is the Children’s Pastor at our local church.
* We are adopting through Loving Alternatives Adoption Agency in Tyler, Texas and we started the process in October of 2022.
* Our 2nd home study was completed May 31, 2024.
* We are excited and waiting on the Lord’s timing for our little one.

Love Gives Adoption is honored to partner with the incredible ministry of Donna Bixby in the Central African Republic at Chronicles of Jonathan’s House—Central African Republic. Jonathan's House is a rescue home and an exemplary model for orphan care around the world. The difference between an orphanage and a rescue home is the difference between an institution and a family. Kids need to be nurtured and Jonathan's house provides a family for many kids, a health clinic and a school for over 500 kids in the community. Love Gives is just a cup of cold water in the marathon of adoption and orphan care but are honored to partner with Donna and Jonathan's House by sending $3,000 to their work. Love Gives Adoption is thrilled to end the year trying to bless a few families and a few organizations on the front lines of adoption and orphan care. Pure Heart Orphanage is in Saltillo, Mexico and part of the ministry that Steve & Debbie Poston are giving their lives to. Steve and Debbie have greatly impacted the lives of many in Saltillo and those who have had a chance to partner with them for over 30 years. Their goal is to raise $25,000 for the new orphanage by the end of the year. Love Gives is thrilled to be a cup of cold water in the long marathon that orphan care and adoption is by sending them $3,000 toward their efforts. This is a tough time for so many people. The McNeil's and other adoptive families are in a holding pattern to travel to pick up their kids and bring them home to the new chapter of their lives. It's a battle of the complete logic of safety/health & at the same time painful to a heart that is desperately waiting to be united with their family.

LOVE GIVES FOR SANTIAGO
This past summer many of us were able to meet and get to know Santiago. The Reynolds family sponsored him from Colombia through the Project 143 program. We are excited to announce that this coming April/May he should be returning to the United States permanently. Friends of Donnie and Jen, the McNeil family, have fallen in love with Santiago and are in the process of making his adoption final. In our efforts to help them, we are holding an envelope & online giving drive through March to raise as much as we possibly can.
