The Ward One Association is a non-partisan, volunteer organization and 501c4 representing the people who live in or own businesses in Annapolis. WORA’S mission is to promote a strong community that encourages long-term residency, improves our quality of life, preserves the historic nature of our unique neighborhoods, and supports a diverse commercial district that serves the needs of residents. PORCHFEST 2026 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Murray Hill Neighborhood
Saturday, Oct 24th

Murray Hill will transform into an outdoor concert venue, with 10 neighborhood homes opening their porches to local musicians from 11 AM to 3 PM.

The Porchfest Annapolis coordinators would love our help making this fun community event a success! They are especially looking for Porch Managers at each location, along with volunteers for a variety of other needs.

Please take a look at the online sign-up sheet below and consider volunteering where you can.

It’s a wonderful, fun-filled outdoor family event and a great way to enjoy live music while supporting our local community! 🎵🏡. The event is free to everyone!

MONTHLY WORA PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear WORA Members,

October is another busy month for WORA, with important advocacy work underway along with a growing calendar of social events and opportunities for members to get together and connect. I want to thank everyone who continues to participate, volunteer, and make their voices heard on issues affecting our community.

Please visit www.wardone.org regularly for October updates, upcoming meetings and social events, community news, and volunteer opportunities.

We especially need volunteers for PAINT THE WARD RED, our effort to clean and refresh the red-painted No Parking curbs throughout Ward One. It is a great way to make a visible difference in our community.

We are also making WORA's proposed new bylaws available to our membership. I encourage everyone to review them by clicking the link below or visiting www.wardone.org.

WORA will continue advocating on important issues including Zoning Unlocked, parking, development, and protecting the character and quality of life of our community.
