The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis)

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) We meet Tuesday mornings from 7:30am -8:30 am at the DoubleTree, 210 Holiday Ct, Annapolis, MD and on Zoom. Message us for an email invite.

Rotary’s guiding principle is Service Above Self. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues---children at risk, health & hunger, water and literacy. We support programs for youth; educational opportunities and international exchanges for students and professionals; and vocational and career development and much more.

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) is proud to support the The Boys & Girls Clubs of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County, an independent organization with seven clubs across Anne Arundel County serving more than 3,000 kids every year. Under the leadership of Development Officer Maureen Weisman, their team provides safe, meaningful after‑school programs, summer camps, and nutritious meals for local youth.

Our latest grant will help purchase new picnic tables for outdoor use this summer—giving kids a place to eat lunch, participate in programs, and enjoy arts and crafts outside. That’s what we call .

Thank you, Charting Careers, for your kind words and, more importantly, for the incredible work you do every day. It is an honor for the The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) to partner with an organization so deeply committed to empowering young people and strengthening our community.

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) is proud to support Hicks Hope House as one of our 2026 grant recipients.

Hicks Hope House provides a safe haven and supportive environment for abused or homeless women and their children, empowering and educating them as they rebuild their lives. Our grant will help fund a new gardening project at Hicks Hope House, creating a healing, hands‑on space where residents can grow fresh food, learn new skills, and nurture hope from the ground up.

We are proud to highlight one of Parole Rotary’s grant recipients, Providence of Maryland. Founded in 1961, Providence of Maryland is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live meaningful, independent lives within the community.

Today, they support more than 300 men and women by helping them with housing, employment opportunities, community connections, and self-advocacy.

Our grant will directly support their greenhouse project, a wonderful initiative that not only raises funds for their programs but also provides meaningful employment and hands-on experience for the individuals they serve.

The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) is honored to partner with organizations like Providence of Maryland that are making a lasting difference in our community.

At our The Rotary Club of Parole (Annapolis) breakfast this week, we had the privilege of recognizing our 2026 Four-Way Test Speech Contest participants from Arundel High School, whose thoughtfulness and hard work truly impressed our members.

1st Place – Matteo Brown, 11th Grade
2nd Place – Kasea Carpenter, 12th Grade
3rd Place – Ethan Mivule, 11th Grade
4th Place – Camille Rumeau, 11th Grade
Honorable Mention – Sean Sterling, 11th Grade

We were especially grateful to hear 1st-place winner Matteo Brown share his inspiring speech. He invited us to examine a real-life issue through Rotary’s Four-Way Test, asking: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Seeing a young leader speak with such courage, clarity, and integrity was a humbling reminder of why we invest in youth programs that build character, confidence, and communication skills.

Please join us in congratulating these outstanding students from Arundel High School for their participation, their remarkable efforts, and the way they brought Rotary’s values to life in their words and actions.
