Spa Creek Conservancy The goal of Spa Creek Conservancy is to bring awareness to the watershed and make the creek clean enough to safely swim and fish in again.

The Spa Creek Conservancy is a volunteer organization dedicated to the stewardship of the Spa Creek watershed through education, preservation, mitigation, and restoration. The Spa Creek watershed spans historic downtown Annapolis, Eastport, and the surrounding areas. The headwaters run through Truxtun Park and eventually open into the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River. Spa Creek pro

vides recreational opportunities for thousands of boaters, fishermen, and hikers each year and provides habitat for many of the Chesapeake Bay's native wildlife.

Results from water samples collected on the morning of August 6. The average water temperature this week is 82.5 degrees F.

High concentrations of enterococci, noted on the map with red markers, indicate f***l contamination and the possible presence of pathogenic bacteria. Values of 104 cfu/100 ml or below are considered safe for swimming.
