Prince George's County Medical Society PGCMS is the professional association for physicians in Prince George's County.

The Prince George's County Medical Society, is a non-profit organization formed in 1903 to promote the art and science of medicine in the common interest of its members and the public; and to foster professional, ethical and friendly relations among its members. The county society is a component society of MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society formed in 1799 by a special act of the Legislatur

EQIP engages practitioners who treat Maryland Medicare beneficiaries in care transformation and value-based payment through an episode-based approach. Through EQIP, practitioners have increased participation in Advanced Alternative Payment Models (APM) within the State and aligned with hospitals under the TCOC Model. In Performance Year 2 (Calendar Year 2023), EQIP generated $36.7 million in positive savings. The passage of Senate Bill 791/House Bill 932 provides Maryland with some of the most comprehensive laws in the country on prior authorization and utilization review protections. This was a top priority for MedChi - Thank you to everyone who worked to make this important legislation happen. I was on hand yesterday to see Governor Moore sign the legislation into law.
