Saturday we got together to try our hand at some adorable bird blocks. Everyone did great and we had a good laugh when someone put a bird beak on the bottom instead of the head or the legs on the wrong way. This block looks easy but takes some thought. I’m glad everyone had a good sense of humor!! Quilts and tote bags turned in as well and all in all we had a great day!!

Deliveries and donation!!

We delivered:

~1 quilt to John’s Hopkins Children’s Center

~13 quilts, 10 tote bags, 20 wash clothes and bibs to Birthright of Annapolis

We received 26 yards fabric and 2 queen sized rolls of batting from Linda B. Thank you!!!

We met on Saturday, just a few of us, but we received a lot of quilts and 14 tote bags plus Connie made some adorable washcloths and bibs. I will post pictures of all the quilts soon! See you August 22nd for our last meeting of the summer!

What s relaxing Saturday workshop we had. Edna came and demonstrated how to make curved quilt corners instead of mitered corners. Thank you, Edna! Julie H. , Julie K., Maureen, Gabby, Rebecca, Janice and Connie all came and helped one way or another. I took the day off from taking photos of these pretty ladies but know that they were there creating beautiful quilts and tote bags.

It was a very rainy spring day yesterday which was perfect for a day indoors with some amazing quilters doing one of their favorite things- sewing and playing with fabric! Cathy, Barb, JoMarie, Karen, Rebecca, Connie, Gabby, Edna, Julie H., Julie K., Janice and Maureen G. all came out to drop off, pick up or sit and sew adorable quilts. I’m always super excited to see their finished charitable gifts!! You all are fantastic!!
