A movie about local music legend Eva Cassidy will be shown at Maryland Hall by the Annapolis Film Festival on June 4th. Plenty of tickets still available. And you may recognize a face or two in the film.

BIG NEWS: Annapolis Musicians Fund for Musicians, Inc (AMFM) has recently reached an agreement with MSG Sphere Entertainment to be the first act to open The Sphere DC at National Harbor in December 2029. AMFM plans to use the venue for it’s annual Christmas shows.

Since 1999, AMFM has produced annual Christmas shows at Rams Head On Stage as a fundraiser. What started as just one show annually, has grown to two sell-out shows each year. Each show has over about fifteen artists each night perform holiday classics and originals.

“We are honored and excited,” said PJ Thomas, AMFM President. “2029 would be our 30th anniversary of our Christmas show, so it seems fitting to have that show in such a majestic venue”

The new 6,000 seat venue will be quite a jump from the 325 seat Rams Head venue, but the Sphere management team believes that the hype of being the first show in the new theater and the awe-inspiring graphics will make this a “must see” event.
