What an AMAZING first year! Take a look at our year in review. The Fame Annapolis All Star Cheer Booster Club offers an amazing opportunity to our families to help off set the cost of their athletes fees. Last year we had THREE families pay for their entire season (and most of their travel!) expenses through the Booster Club. Fame Annapolis Allstars Booster Club (“FAABC”) is a 501(c)(3) public charity created to support the athletes of Fame Annapolis All Star Cheer. Our goal is to provide fundraising opportunities to offset the costs associated with the sport of allstar cheerleading and support charitable causes within our community.

Our athletes travel around the country to represent, not only their team but the entire state of Maryland. Competitive cheerleading requires a high level of physical commitment as well as the support of family, friends, and the community at large. The costs associated with this sport include gym fees, uniforms, competition fees and travel expenses. In many cases this totals over $10,000 per year. The athletes receive 90% of all donations to the FAABC. The remaining 10% goes into the general fund to cover operating expenses of the booster club and is also used for charitable causes within our community.

Last season all five elite teams earned a bid to compete at The Summit Championship at ESPN Wide World of Sports, the premier end-of-season event. It is the pinnacle competition for junior and senior teams across the United States and the world. Our senior level 4.2 team finished 10th in the country. This year we are traveling to Lancaster PA, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA, and Myrtle Beach SC just to name a few. Our goal is to compete among the very best before heading back to Summit in April and this time we hope to come home #1 in the country!

As part of a competitive cheerleading team, our athletes learn valuable lessons that foster sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment, self-discipline, self-confidence, leadership, integrity and an “anything is possible” attitude. These lessons are acquired in a healthy and positive environment that allows them to reach their full potential as athletes while also giving back to their community. We recently participated in a local Trunk or Treat event and plan to provide Thanksgiving dinner for a local family as well as adopt a family for Christmas.
