Annapolis Toastmasters is a fun club by, for and of its members - Annapolis area people like you and me who aspire to become better communicators and leaders in our personal and professional lives. Whether you have spoken before a group once, a hundred times, or never, you'll find that as a Toastmaster, you will always have another challenge or another goal--and that public speaking is a lifelong
skill that always has room for improvement. Whether you are a comfortable speaker who wants to gain more experience or you are almost deathly afraid to speak in public (don't laugh--many of our most experienced members were like that once) there is a place for you in our club, We are a supportive and non-judgmental group, here to help each other. I may be president of the Annapolis club now, but there was a time--not too long ago, when even I was hesitant to speak even before our own club. It takes a commitment to become a successful Toastmaster and every member is encouraged and is eventually expected to make a contribution to the success of the club and to fellow members. Our club is active and we are proud of the many recognitions we receive each year at various levels of Toastmasters International for our achievements. At each meeting, there is almost always a role for each member, whether in giving a speech, evaluating it or serving as speech timer.
