It was a spectacular day at the CRAB Adaptive Boating Center. The warm sunshine, cool breezes, and fabulous guests and volunteers all excited to get out on Chesapeake Bay.

We had a special visit from the Pride of Baltimore and a few CRAB sailboats decided to race her to Annapolis.

The living shoreline at the ABC was quite busy this morning with more than 25 Horseshoe Crabs mating along the beach. We are applying for a permit to restore it to its full length and offering more room for wildlife to play fun and games.

Last, but not least, nothing speaks to the beauty and tranquility of the ABC than two artists painting under the shade of a Norway Maple over looking the marina. They said there wasn't a better place to be.

It was a great pleasure to address the members of the Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, Maryland last night. It was an enthusiastic audience who had plenty of questions about CRAB's mission, programs, scheduling, and funding.

It was wonderful to meet some people who I knew in Alexandria, VA and in my aviation career who have settled in Oxford, the land of easy and quiet living.

I had the honor of exchanging burgees with Vice Commodore Annie Decker at the conclusion of the program.

CRAB's first regatta of the year, the bi-annual Recovering Warrior Sailing Regatta, was a great success yesterday. The day brought beautiful weather with ample winds for a competitive day out on the Bay. Thank you to all recovering warriors who joined us for the great day, and to all CRAB volunteers who supported the event both on water and on land. Congratulations to all participants on a well-sailed race.

Thank you to the generous event sponsors, and , for helping make it such a wonderful day for all.

Thank you Sam and Susan Simon for presenting the play "Dementia Man" at the CRAB Adaptive Boating Center yesterday.

It was a enlightening and emotional story about your life after experiencing early onset alzheimers disease.

The Q&A at the conclusion was an exceptionally open and honest discussion with audience members, one of whom is experiencing dementia.

Thank you for sharing your time and life with us.

It was a special night at the CRAB Adaptive Boating Center tonight with the first concert of the season. Janie Meneely, Rob Van Sant, and Jefferson Holland gave a fabulous performance of Chesapeake Bay folk songs and Rob's own Scottish ballads and stories.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and the wonderful volunteers who worked the event.

We had a very unusual day at CRAB today. The USNA and Navy ARES team requested to have our power catamaran Dream Catcher pickup some Midshipmen and Special Ops Members at Bay Bridge Marina and shuttle them to a YP on the Bay. Thanks to Hinckley Yachts for facilitating the docking at the marina.

I won't go into the details of the exercise, but it involved Greenbury Point and drones. The transfer from Dream Catcher to the YP required a Jacob's Ladder and all went well.

These are the only pics we could take since Special Ops soldiers were not to be photographed. We will post more when we receive them from the USNA.

Very kewl day on the water!
