Whole Foods Market, Annapolis Towne Center at Parole will hold a Community 5% Day for the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County’s (CFAAC) Grants 4 Teachers Fund on Wednesday, June 15th from 8:00am – 10:00pm.

CFAAC’s Grants 4 Teachers Fund was started in 2009 by Joe Van Deuren, owner of Balance Life Skills in Annapolis. Joe was troubled that teachers often paid for educational materials and teaching tools with their own money.

Joe generously donated seed funding in 2009. Since that time, and with additional funding from community members and local corporations, we are pleased to have given over $20,000 to local teachers for their innovative projects in the classrooms.

The Grants 4 Teachers Fund serves Anne Arundel County teachers and students. The Fund allows teachers to purchase supplementary classroom materials, to infuse their classrooms with hands-on inquiry and experiential learning.

You can help support G4T by shopping at Whole Foods on June 15th. 5% of the day’s net sales will be donated to the Grants 4 Teachers Fund at CFAAC.
