Mental health research is often invisible, and that invisibility has real consequences.
A recent article published by Nature reports that anxiety and depression affect nearly 700 million people worldwide, while approximately 700,000 people die by su***de each year. More than half of those deaths occur before the age of 50.
These numbers highlight why visibility, research, and open conversations around mental health matter.
