Join us in celebration of Juneteenth by donating to our initiative in support of black women who have been misplaced, abused, or killed by police brutality. We are launching this initiative in honor of Breonna Taylor and Oluwatoyin Salau and all the other women who’ve lost their lives or are in need of support. We will be donating to House of Ruth Baltimore and My Sister’s Place Women’s Center in honor of Oluwatoyin Salau, who both service abused and/or misplaced women directly in our community. In honor of Breonna Taylor we will be donating to the Louisville Community Bail Fund and Until Freedom, who is working directly in Louisville and other cities to see the police that murdered her fired and charged. Lastly we honor all black women who have died needing protection and justice by donating to BLK Girl Culture who are directing supplying women nationwide in financial need.

Thanks to everyone that came to show their support to the Floyd family. We’re so grateful for the love, energy, and hope we were able to feel during this period of time. Thank you to our city officials who helped us make such a necessary statement in the City of Annapolis. Thank you to our speakers. It takes a village. It takes a community. Whether you feel like you’ve done a lot or a little every step forward, together, is significant. Thank you.

We’re one day away from our protest and the final funeral and burial of George Floyd! Can’t wait to see you all!

George Floyd’s funeral is this coming Tuesday, June 9th. George was a father, a brother, a son, a coach, and most importantly he was a human being. We are peacefully protesting in solidarity with his life at the Maryland State Capital. Our capitol is recognized as a place frozen in time, with the same buildings and statues from the 17th century, representative to some as freedom and to others as oppression. We will start our protest where it all began for us. We are protesting to say George deserved better. Our ancestors deserved better. Our communities deserve better. Join us as we march for a better future.
