SHOE DONATION REQUEST: One of our Annapolis families is looking for a pair of gently used or new running spikes for their daughter who will be participating in a Track & Field program through which she could potentially qualify for the 2026 Junior Olympics in California.

She qualified and participated in the 2025 Junior Olympics in 2025. This is a true passion for this young girl, and her loving family supports her as best as they can.

If you have shoes you can donate or if you would consider donating to PlayAnnapolis to fund the purchase of new spikes for her, please email [email protected].

Size needed: She is a women's size 7.5-8 or boys youth size 6.

It was a fun Friday night in Annapolis as kids from 6 elementary schools played in the Police Athletic League and PlayAnnapolis interscholastic basketball league. We are so grateful for the many coaches, Community School Managers, referees, teachers and volunteers who help make this sports participation opportunity happen for these children. The smiles on their faces says everything.

It was so fun honoring our 2026 sports and recreation Trailblazers on February 4th at the Navy–Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Nearly 150 people gathered to hear inspirational stories of our honorees and a heartwarming thank you message from a mom whose family was helped by PlayAnnapolis when they needed it most. It was a night full of big smiles, standing ovations and overwhelming appreciation for the mission and value of PlayAnnapolis.

The inaugural PlayAnnapolis Interscholastic basketball season is officially underway.

Annapolis, Eastport, Germantown, Monarch Academy, Mills-Parole, and Tyler Heights students have been practicing through after-school clubs and competing on Friday afternoons. It is great to see so many families in attendance at the games.

This league is a true partnership, and it takes all of the pieces working together to make it happen.
