💟 Two extraordinary women. One enduring legacy.
In 1987, Anna E. Greenberg and Patricia A. Edwards helped change the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra forever.
With Anna as Board Chair and Pat as her partner in leadership as Executive Director, they helped transform a community orchestra into a professional nonprofit organization—and secured its home as Maryland Hall’s first resident company.
Together, they expanded the concert season, doubled the budget, grew ticket sales and strengthened musicians’ pay. Their passion helped build the ASO we know and love today.
Now, we're honored to welcome patrons to our recently renovated office, which we're proud to name The Anna E. Greenberg and Patricia A. Edwards Suite.
Our new plaque says it best:
“Dedicated with gratitude to the two women whose legacy of vision, leadership and enduring commitment shaped the ASO we know today.”
