DRCA Chairman Peter Gaynor recently spoke with Bloomberg News about recent leadership changes at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Markwayne Mullin’s appointment as Secretary of DHS, along with the departure of former Secretary Kristi Noem, raises new questions for the department as hurricane season approaches.

The Department of Homeland Security oversees the nation’s main disaster response agency, which has undergone turmoil under Noem.
