Our Story
The Friends of Stinson Library is a not for profit corporation and was formed in October 2001 for the purpose of building community support for the Stinson Memorial Library and it’s programs and services. Since then, this group of volunteers continues to assist in specific projects as well as recommend and fund new programs, projects and services for the Library. Governance is provide by an eleven member board of directors elected by the members of the corporation at the annual meeting held on the first Monday of July each year. This meeting is held at the Stinson Memorial Library at 10:00 am and is open to everyone who shares a desire to see the local library succeed in the continued growth and development of our community.
Regular meetings are held the first Monday of each month at 10:00 am in the basement of the Stinson Memorial Library. Visitors and members are always welcome.
Individual memberships are $5 per year and business memberships are $25 per year (July 1 to June 30). Lifetime membership is $100 and benefactor is any organization, business or individual gifting over $100. Both lifetime and benefactor name will be recognized on a library plaque. All membership dues, donations and endowments are tax deductible.
