We are deeply saddened to share the passing of former member and EMT, Ken Lemmon. Ken was an active and dedicated part of Anna Rescue, Botkins Fire, and other organizations, as well as a respected leader and teacher of CPR and EVOC for many local departments. A passionate racecar fan, he also lent a hand at nearby tracks in his free time. From all of us at Anna Rescue—well done, Ken, and thank you for your unwavering commitment to the department and community. Rest in peace; we’ll take it from here.

With the issue of a state of emergency by Governor Dewine, PLEASE take the potential of this storm seriously. If this storm meets expectations it will be hazardous for several days. Please use these last few hours of daylight to have a plan and resources available. As always, we will be here if you need us, but if you don’t have to be out, safest to stay home!

Today, as she has made her official public announcement, it is with imense pride and a tinge of sadness that we announce and celebrate the retirement and remarkable 23-year legacy of EMT Ashley Holthaus. Having joined Anna Rescue as an 18th birthday gift to herself, Ashley exemplifies the selfless spirit that defines her service, putting others before herself time and again. Though health challenges and life's unforeseen twists have led her to make the courageous decision to step down, her home within the Anna Rescue family remains eternal. Ashley, Brian, Aleik, Rose, Jeremiah, and all her dear family and friends, we extend our deepest gratitude for the profound sacrifices you've made over the years. Your support of the unwavering love and commitment she has for the community have touched countless lives, leaving an immeasurable mark on the world. Congrats, Ash! We love you.

To our brothers and sisters in blue, we are thankful for and appreciate you. 💙🚔🖤

Today we take time to recognize and thank the dedicated law enforcement officers who serve our community each and every day. Your commitment to answering the call—no matter the hour, weather, or circumstance—reflects courage, compassion, and a deep sense of duty. You work long shifts, face difficult situations, and make sacrifices that many never see, all to help keep others safe.

To the officers on patrol, the investigators, deputies, and every member of the law enforcement family: thank you. Your professionalism, kindness in moments of crisis, and willingness to step forward when others step back truly make a difference.

We also want to recognize the families who support these men and women. The missed dinners, late nights, and constant worry are part of the sacrifice too, and we are grateful for your strength.

Today and every day, we appreciate you. Thank you for your service, your bravery, and your unwavering dedication to our community. 💙🖤
